Ummmm. You asked how high I was when I took the "Pinnacle" photo near Crater Lake. I had to think about it for a moment. The elevation there is just below the rim of the lake, which goes over 8,000 ft. The lodge is 7,100 approx. I'm guessing this pinnacle is between 6,500 and 7,000, but it could be as high as the lake. Now, as for me, I was about as high as usual (High on taking photos? High on fabulous scenery? High on being with good friends? All of the above :)
This does look like a nice place for a walk Jacob. Has it been getting cold down your way? We had a really chilly weekend here, but it was nice for a change.
Cool perspective in this shot, I liked a lot the idea "Walking together, embrace a life ahead, a bond of affection and friendship." So beautiful! Great work my friend! Léia
I meant to say in my last comment, good luck with the move! It's always stressful to move, but always worth the trouble. Expecting pics of the new place! :)
@ Jarat - We often do just that. Lois runs and I bike...it's a six mile loop, through various terrain, and has several nice hills through the woods. A great place!
@ EG - Yes, it's a nice, wide path. But no motorized vehicles are allowed which makes it even nicer. Lots of bikers, joggers, walkers...mom's come out with their toddler in buggies and walk around. I was roller blading for awhile and may do that again. But at my age, I'd hate to break something, like my head!
That really DOES look like a nice place to walk... w/ your honey... holding hands... Oh, wait, he's not holding her hand - Maybe next time! hehehheeheee
You're not sarcastic, Louis ... well, maybe just a little. But I understand. Have that tendency myself!
Thanks for the link. I've heard about that sight and had thought about doing something like that at one of our Wal-Marts where many of the folks come right out of the woods - literally - the Ocala National Forest. Very interesting. Well, that's what I've heard, you understand, 'cause would someone like myself ever shop at a Wal-Mart?

I could get used to this too!
...don't want to enlarge this picture.
Were you chasing them in your golf cart?
"Hey wait, I need a photo for my Ocala Daily Photo blog ...."
@ Safe Leif - Nah. I surreptitiously snapped their photo after they walked by! I'm very, very sneaky!
Picture sort of defines "meander", doesn't it.

Don't follow me next time...please!
Ahhh, Jacob was in "stealth mode". This looks like a great place to take a stroll or a bike ride.
Very woodsy. I think I need a stroll too. MB
I didn't know you had any wilderness in Ocala except where the alligators roam. . . . It seems you do have our sky today.
Thanks so much for all your kind comments on my new blog. It was nice to have a visit from a friend! :)

@ Lois - Yes, it's been very cold, wet, windy - what I call bitter weather. But it's supposed to warm up for the next couple of days, anyway!

Gee! I wonder what cold is in Florida. I thought this place for a walk looks lush & semi-tropical.
Short sleeves! Now I'm really jealous...

@ Tapirgal - Sounds like you were/are "high" on life and that's a good place to be!
It's a wide path, or wider than the ones I'm used to, and paved. That makes me think some "walkers" may actually be riding. ;-)
I want to go there with my bike and spend the day exploring that lane.

Pretty and relaxing looking--looks warmer than here!!!
I think they should run.
I don't know if the pine trees are the same species but this scenery could be here! :-)
@ JM - It is possible that we are on about the same latitude...
Wow great photos...
:-)
So this is a walking path? If so, it's wonderful, nice shot, J.
«Louis» was wondering if these two broad-in-the-beam walkers are refugees from The People of Wal-Mart?
(Editor to «Louis»: Can't you visit ONE BLOG without getting sarcastic? Just ONE?
«Louis» to Editor: Hush yo'mouf or you'll find yourself on that website. We have the photos, and they aren't flattering...
Editor to «Louis»: GULP!)
Oh, oh! I want to see those pictures!

I hope they walk here every day for the next year or so. It looks like they need the exercise.
