Main Street and Preakness Drive

Keeping with Ocala's claim to be the Horse Capitol of the World, the planners of the Heathbrook outdoor mall crossed Preakness Drive with Main Street.

Do you know if there is a Bellmont Street?

I grew up in Baltimore, home of the Preakness...in fact, I lived so close to the track that when my bedroom window was open I could hear the races being called.

Would that be a modern "hitchin' post" then?

Classy street signs. And a department store. I thought those were a thing of the past?

I like this name better than the Curva di Euro! At least it makes sense for Ocala. And it doesn't make it sound like it's just a greedy shopping center than wants your money. Although they probably do...

Ah, nice to see the planners had a...er...plan. So, is every street named after something horse related?

I really like the colors in this photo and, as always, everything seems so....clean!
