Beautiful!
And those horses do look pretty small, but I suppose they're cheaper to maintain than regular-sized horses.

Very lovely country scene, Jacob. And I like this modern barn... charming. A close-up of the doors would be cool to see.

[I had heard the expression, "You can't hit the broad side of a barn..." but had to look up the meaning - yeah, I'm not American, okay? - and you are ever so clever, Jacob... I bet the shots of your barns are gorgeous... and I need to take some time going back in your blog.]

So simple and yet so beautiful! Great capture indeed.

Regarding your comment on the sleeping lioness: It was mating season. Lions mate every five minutes for two or three days so they get really exausted and I simply took advantage of the situation! LOL! I have a shot of this very lady caught in the act that I will post soon. :-)

Very pastoral scene.

I was interested in your comment on JM's site about whether there was a connection between the white-faced Capuchin monkeys in Costa Rica and the Capuchin monks. There is, indeed.

Early settlers named the monkeys Capuchin because they felt they resembled the dark robes, open only at the faces, of Capuchin monks.

I think Capuchin monks are also the derivation of the name for cappucino.
