I'll give the texting girl the benefit of the doubt and guess that the group is discussing in which soliloquy Shakespeare coined the term "mortal coil." She's looking it up on Wikipedia.
How interesting about your mother the writer! Can I ask her name, and what book on writing she wrote? I've read an awful lot of those, so you never know, I may have read hers!
Jacob, that's a special photo. I like the way you evaporated the edges to focus on the center. (And, as one who has a 24-year old, texting while others around doesn't seem as inhospitable to kids as it would to you and me.)
Regarding your comment on wrestling; I had never been to a wrestling match---I did go to an all girls high school ya know. I was surprised at the ones that were so very young. I suppose directing all that boy energy in a sporting way is good. Brett did fine. He had a couple of real tough matches but held his own. He is very focused. This is his first year at it. MB

I am surprised that only one of them is texting...
Hmmm. I'd say all of them are friends except for the one texting who'd rather be somewhere else. :)
She must be bored with the conversation. Nice shot.
a beautiful capture of the times!
pas très conviviale comme réunion entre amis ;)
Yeah, there's always somebody not with the rest. I hope someone told the texter to lay off....
Youth and the things they get up to...
Friends for sure. MB
Sitting around a table using electronic gadgets to communicate...? :-D
Have you seen little Luna and Marina there as well? :)
Beautiful picture!

Nice slice of life picture, Jacob. I wonder how much of real life is missed because of cell phones.
