Sports Authority...

...and times have changed and not for the better. Now it seems necessary to block the entrance to the store with steel poles so the bad guys can't ram it with a car and run off with a load of goodies.

I was just noticing the other day that our community college has those as well. I guess for the same reason with all the computers. Great shot!

not very sporting of them.

Now, THAT is charming. There are some pretty rowdy retirees in Ocala. Or bad drivers.

The crooks will just have to get bigger, heavier trucks, I guess.

I think that the Sports authority shop in the next town north of here is gone. Maybe they forgot to instal their front door de-fenders. MB

They must be kidding. It will take more than two poles to keep me out!

Ah... Over here that would be to stop people from parking there. You have to stop people from shopping from their cars these days. Are you sure that would stop a Dodge Ram?

Let's stealing hoodies, sneakers and jockstraps. Quite a haul!

It's even worse around govenment buildings!
I do remember the church/steeple hand trick. Ahh...sweet memories.

you mean those aren't hitching posts?

If you have one of those big hummers, those little poles aren't going to stop you.
I am seeing these barriers popping up everywhere now.

Hee! I thought those things were to keep people from stealing carts. You know how some stores have those systems that lock the wheels after you take it past a certain point.
Is Ocala so crime ridden that those poles are necessary??

I was kidding when I said hitching posts, so it surprised me to hear you still have them there in places!
