When you don't have a real barber pole, you paint one on the window. But this is more than just a barber shop. It also serves as a purveyor of golf clubs, golf bags and other golf accessories - used, or previously owned! At least one of the barbers is into vintage cars. All the barbers will regale you with hilarious tales while cutting your hair.

I have had the same barber in Hartford for more than 30 years, Jacob. It is in a dumpy office building in downtown Hartford.

Blogger wouldn't let me leave comments last night so I am trying again this morning. I do hope your barber is paying attention when he cuts your hair. I'd hate to think ther could be an oops! factor. :))
So I take it this is where you go... Right?
It sounds like a fun place to go and they have two great business plans.
tres americain ce barber shop, je le trouve tres vivifiant. de retour de NYC (sniff) , qui reste THE TOWN ;)
It seems to be the right place for you, Jacob :-D
Believe it not... been 40 years since I 'darkened' one of these shops. Got a 'thing' about them.
I never said I didn't have it cut, Jacob. Now that I think about it... closer to 43, really.
