Trains come through Hartford infrequently, but when I was in Columbus, looooonnnng freight trains came through regularly just two blocks from my apartment, all night long. After 2 - 3 days, you don't even hear them.

We have them too Jacob, and like you I'm quite happy to sit and watch them speed by, love trains.
Memphis has trains that run right through the middle of town, too, and it's a big mess.
We have 2 running right through the city connecting different parts of the city hence we have subways and or flyovers to get across.
Hehehe! Then I take it you would be annoyed to hear the train that runs through my town...sometimes at 20-minute intervals at night. :)
Truth be told. I rarely hear it unless I'm tossing and turning because I drank too much coffee after lunch.
It's not fun at 5am, that's for sure.

I agree. I love that sound.
I wouldn't like to hear it in the middle of the night, but I love trains! :)
I like seeing a train, even if it means I have to stop and wait. They are getting scarce around here.
Choo Choo! I remember them well. So soothing as a child growing up with them.
Beautiful photos!
