Our only hope?

These specific signs appear on various street corners around our town. They are considered "litter" and the police have said you can stop, pick 'em up, and throw 'em away.

Litter comes in all forms these days. I'd be very curious about the people who post them.

I'm with Ciel, did you?

It does mar the beauty

I like what Andy said...roadside spam...I'll have to remember that one. I get so tired of seeing all these crazy signs in our neck of the woods also...I never knew it was okay to dispose of them. Interesting.

Strangest 'litter' I've seen!

We still have election signs that haven't been picked up. It's interesting to see the extent people will go to to get their views known.

The police have said you can stop, pick 'em up, and throw 'em away? Nothing about to take a picture first?

They should just stick to putting them in their yard.

Didn't know you could remove those. Maybe a local law? Should be nationwide. I'd take 'em down.

Calling them litter is giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Yeah, well------------MB

I find it quite bizarre. Someone has paid $$ to have these made. I've never seen such a thing here.

Have you heard from Dina in Jerusalem?

I hope not.

sadly, I had to look it up.

Wow....don't see these in Montreal. In response to your question on my blog: Renaissance is indeed the same as Goodwill! They call themselves Renaissance here, which is French for "rebirth". :) It is a non-profit organization, one and the same as Goodwill.

I agree with Lois, stop littering other areas and keep it to yourself.

Littering is not a positive message.

If you haven't, Lowell, do it! :-)

Is this the new version of standing on a street corner holding a "The End is Nigh" sign? I'm always curious to know if signs like this ever succeed in swaying anyone's views. You should take a local poll, Lowell!

I don't think it's our only hope. But a little bit of prayer doesn't hurt - although I'm probably on the other side of the people who post these kinds of signs. :)

I imagine that spot without the sign... definitely a lot beautiful. The sign is so misplaced.
