Up the creek with a paddle

I thought surely this guy was going to fall in and get eaten by an alligator.  But he managed to stay upright and in the canoe until they got to the ramp.  :)  Notice it's the girls who are doing all the work.

The girls are doing all the work indeed! Love the water ripplets, great photo, Lowell!

Training maybe? I like the frame.

He seems to be coaching the girls on technique. Wasn't thinking about being lunch for gators.

I love it--both the photo and the commentary! :-)

You have alligators in your area? I also love alligators--from a distance, that is...I wouldn't be all that interested in falling into the water to meet them.

Lowell, women nowadays want to do everything, don't they?

Was he teaching them? He is brave standing up in that small boat.

The girls are doing the work and the boy is messing around and doing something dumb. Sounds about right! I have daughters and sons. Ha!

Sitting, sitting, standing. Smart, smart, dumb!

He is probably giving directions!

Haha, funny shot.

Lazy? May be, may be not... With these kind of boats it's certainly not a smart move to be standing like that... Especially with alligators in the water.... Nice capture though....

He probably pulled the old Tom Sawyer trick on them - made them feel jealous that HE was going to have all the fun paddling - so they begged him to let them do it.

The blondie in the middle looks like me at that age. I almost wondered where you got the photo! I don't remember that we canoe'd at summer camp.
