En fuego
Summer is when central Florida experiences numerous grass and forest fires. This one occurred a short distance from our home but we were never in any danger. It lasted but a day before it was put out.
Fortunately, a recent tropical storm brought us a lot of much-needed moisture which should be beneficial in the weeks ahead.
We've also posted today on L & L Photography (http://www.landlfotos.com/blog).
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!

That looks pretty close. It's a good thing it didn't last too long. We have had a couple of fires already in our forests. Rain would be nice here right now but there is none in the forecast.
You are lucky. Those brush fires last days and sometimes weeks here.
It still looks scary to me!
Gosh what a photo!
Thank goodness it was put out!
Must be the season for grass fires. I posted one also this week. They are not usually dangerous around here, especially this year with all our rain.
The effect you have used adds to the sense of danger and drama, great shot!
Ah, this could be the picture of how my work has been looking like for the past couple of months...
God bless you!

Cripes! Ten inches of rain from that tropical storm ought to have put that fuego out in quick time. hahahaha
Glad you are safe!
Fires are a huge problem here every single summer, but the weather is so strange this year, that maybe fires will not happen as much as usual.
This is brilliant!
Good photo, I like how you've put white around it. How did you do that? Glad to hear you are safe.
A scary sight. Hope you had a nice weekend! I got some golf in and posted one of my best ever scores.
But now it's time to work! :(
I'm glad you were never in danger!
