Ocala Breeders Sales Company

It is my understanding that this venue, owned by the Ocala Breeders Sales Company (which includes an indoor auditorium), is used for the sale of thoroughbred horses.  I know little about this company but have heard that the track is used for only one race annually.

You can learn more about OBS here.

bel hippodrome. A Evry on a aussi un vieil hippodrome, mais il va etre raser pour devenir un stade de rugby

Horse racing certainly has lost a lot of fans over the past decade. For good reason, too, IMHO. The trainers, owners, etc. need to clean up their acts re. drugs and pushing horses beyond their capabilities. I LOVE going to the track but I'm gradually losing my appetite for it.

Love the wide open spaces, can just imagine the cheering of the crowds in the stand as the horses gallop by,

On a recent trip to Ireland we were told that the government operates the horse stud services so that even common people can breed their horses for a reasonable fee and have a chance at breeding race horses.

It seems curious that there's only one race here annually.

Horses really are a big business in your neck of the woods.

How strange. It must be a heck of a race if they only have it once a year. We used to have horse races here but the track was at the the county fair grounds and they lost it in bankruptcy. I'm not a big fan of horse racing but I did enjoy the county fair which we have lost too.

It looks like you were laying on the grass for this one. I guess this is a training track.
