Bradford Farms entrance

This is the entrance to Bradford Farms, the community discussed in yesterday's post. It is a gated community, but we were able to drive through it when we went to a garage sale there a couple of months ago.

This model horse is a real eye catcher. It's still not as good as my favourites Trigger and Silver.

Garage sales in gated communities? Oxymorons?

I like the entrance, but not sure how I feel about gated communities...

How nice of them to allow you entry. Things must be slipping. . . a garage sale in a gated community?!

That is one beautiful sculpture.

A gated community in Florida. Obviously that has been in the news a lot.

I like the horse. We have a little shopping center in Tamarindo that has a sculpture of a horse standing on its back legs. It is not as well done as what you showed in your photo today, but it is a good effort for a small Costa Rican shopping center.

Fancy schancy entrance for a small acreage community. But to each his own or is it for whom the bell tolls or am I lost in Idaho. MB

Nice looking entrance and statue they have there. And you captured it so well with that lovely sky for a background. I wouldn't mind going to a garage sale there.

The mind boggles to think what people might have on offer at a garage sale in this beautiful area. At far as I can tell, England is still big on car boot sales. I have yet to see a garage sale here. I'm waiting :).

Sets the tone for all the horses that live there!

Only one horse? He must be lonely guarded this gated community by himself.

I like the fancy schnanzy expression. Fits the scene quite well... Actually, I think Versailles could do with some horses. After all, we have a top notch equestrian school here...

P.S.: I'll take you to one of their performances. Not to be missed but usually missed by tourists... :-)

This horse is close to the Ferrari Emblem, but the front legs are not in the same place. Interesting entrance.

I have driven through Ocala a few times going to or from Florida, on the road leading from Jacksonville to Tampa. This looks like the road. Or do all of the roads in Ocala look like this road?

Love the horse. I was thinking like Birdman....Gated communities lower themselves to letting the hoi polloi in for garage sales? Hmm....

Well, imagine that! Cash from garage sales is acceptable. Or maybe they consider it a form of community service.

Ha! You figured out a way to slip through the gate.
