A broken tryst

They planned a tryst. They would meet here, far from prying eyes. But neither showed up. The tryst and trust was broken.

Subject for either a poem or a short story!

Lowell, I think they already met here and rushed off to a place where they could be a lot more private!

I must say it's amazing what goes on in your imagination, Lowell. ))

What a shame, I was hoping for a really juicy story.

I see a poem coming to life here!

Maybe they are huffing and puffing, snapping and sneering.
Ta know when the tryst went bust and hope won't float, maybe love will fall and they will get married after all or at least 'til fall. MB

It does look like a very lonely scene. Perhaps they are actually invisible, I can almost sense their presence!

Here's missing only a good bottle of wine :)

I'm with Jack - they've been and gone!

Since they have already gone, maybe we could sit and chat for a while?

I like this photo and your accompanying title and caption so worthy of these amusing comments from your followers. Wonderful! I am done for the day. This is a good one to finish on :). Back tomorrow.

Awww, such a sad story. (I would have grabbed the chairs and used the lovely spot myself ... their loss!

I think you need to finish the story.

Thanks for the interesting comments in response to my 'out of the camera' no processing. I just take for granted all that the camera really does these days. Or the photog that processes and develops their own work.

Perhaps looking for some level ground?

Either (a) Jack's version or (b) hey! We left the wine in the car! or (c) there's someone in the bushes with a telephoto lens. Let's get the heck out of here.
