This is just so beautiful! Not only the sky with the rainbow, the landscape adds to the whole picture. When I see a rainbow here, there is usually something in the landscape that detracts from the over all scene. Love the new header too!
I do have Photoshop Elements and I'm still experimenting with the watermark. I have tried doing a batch of pictures at once but that doesn't always work. I don't think my 'friend' knows how to crop a picture. It's clear she doesn't know how to take one of her own.
Wonderful middle ground with rainbow. Surly a breathtaking moment recorded in your camera.
Thanks for your comment about bees. The U.S. faces a potential major problem with the decline of the honey bee. In 1980 we had over 7 million bee colonies, and now we are down to about 2.5 million and falling fast. It takes 1.2 million hives just to pollinate the California almond crop, yes, hives travel from all over the country to do this pollination at a cost of $150 per hive for the almond growers.
A really, really super photograph. Isn't it a blessing to be in the right place at the right time to capture such a sight.
Ref the 'why the elephant?'. I looked and looked and I couldn't find a factual answer. Don't think elephants where grazing around Coventry or in England for that matter. Earliest mention of an Elephant in the Coventry Coat of Arms was 1441.

Nice scene, all it lacks is the horse running into the scene without the photographer noticing it at first!
Perfect! Great capture, Lowell.
Always nice to see one of these!
Pretty nice!
No words necessary for sure!! This is an impressive shot!!!
Wow, this is a stunning shot! Did you look for the pot of gold?

Beautiful scene and perfect rainbow. Nobody resting their A** there, you donkey. Oh no that was the neighbor and that settles that! MB
Great shot, such rich colours!
Magic, Lowell! Taken from your yard?
Ahhh that's like a huge breath of fresh air!
Living in a big city, it's rare to see such an uninterrupted, and huge, rainbow.
This is a Wow image!!
Fabulous...
WOW Lowell, what a landscape, what a light! And a duoble rainbow! Really a tunning shot!
Other 11 storms and you can make a wonderful calendar... :)
Oh!!!! So beautiful.
Really beautiful - and a double one, no less! It makes it worth it to put up with a little rain!

Wow, that is some rainbow.
I am curious about the "Ghost" copyright symbol you told Judy about.
Fabulous, Lowell. I don't remember seeing double rainbows before this year. You caught a nice one.
Breathtaking!
Léia :)
