Coming soon...Guy Harvey's Island Grill

You can't always believe what you see. This sign has been in that window for about 2 years. And there's no sign of Guy Harvey's Island Grill!

We have a few places like this. Now I don't get excited until out newspaper reports an opening.

If I were Guy Harvey I'd want my name taken off that sign at the very least!

the economic crisis is affecting all places, unfortunately. :(
I like the reflections in this image!

I am still jealous even after reading the post and knowing that two years have passed! We have a Guy Harvey outpost on the beach here!

Let's hope the service is a little faster if they do finally decide to open up!

There was a place like that in Jackson too. But it had been 5 years or something. Wonder if it's been built yet. :)

Guy must be hazing a little trouble getting the funds together.
Just came from Karl's site & was surprised at the similarities between our two murals.

A 'sign' of the times perhaps. Or maybe he just changed his mind.

Hmmmm Guy where are you. Maybe he got lost on the way to the bank.
We see that here too. One motel on the highway says 'Closed for remodeling--see you in 2010' Ain't happening. MB

Re you comment. I know some places have miles of fencing to do. On the ranch in Ritzville the crew did 11 miles of fencing and that was all they did that day--I am glad we only have to replace a few boards. At Bob's place , he has 20 acres and 2 sides need work. Whew!! I am getting pooped. LOL MB

Wishful thinking, Lowell. The tip-off that it is phony is that the leasing agent's phone number is prominently displayed. If it were committed, there would be no need to advertise to fill the space.

I always believe the same...

They have not set a date, so maybe they open in the next two years...

OOPS! Maybe he's with Gilligan and doesn't know how to get back to Ocala.

Well, Guy may be on "island" time. What's a year or two among friends?

Ha, that's good. I've seen a few like that here, too. Still waiting for our Argentinian steakhouse.

Soon is a relative term I guess.

Isn't that funny! Won't hold my breath.

Really happy with the PGA result. The right man won for sure. Good on you for getting out and playing in spite of the heat!

Too bad for Guy.

I'm used to these signs here, especially when it comes to restoration works...

I know!! This sign just cracks me up because when I first saw it was excited...now even the sign is beginning to smell a little fishy!!!
