This is a look at the 11th green from the 12th tee box at the Preserve of Spruce Creek. I've been told there used to be an alligator hiding in these waters but I've never seen it. A few weeks ago, I read a newspaper article describing how a bear had come out of the woods surrounding this community to do some damage to the gutters of a house. I've never seen a bear here, either.

I have a nearly professional ball retriever. It might come in handy here.
My parents had a house on a golf course just south of Palm Springs, Fl. There were gators there, and the course was off limits after sunset. Golfers were to keep their distance if they spotted a gator. I would as those beasts are quick for a short distance.

It looks pretty with the flag reflected in the water. If you do encounter an alligator or a bear there, you'll have to get his photo!
I'd believe the gator story, but a bear attacking gutters? Now, that's a stretch. I can't even think of a pun for it.
I think you should be thankful you haven't seen either! I had no idea a game of golf could be so adventurous.

Now that would be quite the hazard for a golf course.

Yes, of course I meant to say Palm Beach. It was never my favorite place, but I did enjoy the warmth and the fresh citrus.

Only alligators and bears? No poisonous snakes or piranhas? How boring! Well, at least there is a red flag, I like it! :)
How about Venus fly traps? Quicksand? Is that why they call things hazards on golf courses? Are they called hazards??
Thanks for the article on the Canadian "camps." I had no idea, though honest accounts of history that I've read have all alluded to nasty anti-immigration practices with Jews. It's no wonder the Nazis had such a field day since Jews couldn't emigrate.
