Red's

Red's is something of an Ocala area institution.  It's located just southwest of the city but its clientele come from all over the area.  Open for breakfast and lunch only, Red's offers good old down-home cooking, and they don't skimp on the portions.

We've eaten there on a couple of occasions and the place is usually so jammed with people it's hard to find a space in the parking lot.

Looks like a great place to eat! I'm going to have to get to Florida one of these days for a good meal!!

I'd be inclined to stop in. There are places like that here, just breakfast and lunch shops that close around two or three.

How's the corned beef hash? We had the perfect hash in 1991 in Aberdeen, WA and have been looking for it again ever since. And the place in Aberdeen is gone now. Maybe it's the Washington version of Brigadoon, only with food.

I've just finished my muesli and now I'd like some buttermilk pancakes please.

Great expansive shot of what's clearly a very popular place!

Looks like a nice place for a lunch.
I like the building and also the pond. (and the good food)!

There are two places in Stanwood that serve only B and L and they too are always crowded. I think it is because they serve lots of good food and the prices are lower than a dinner menu. Maybe?

Makes me think of Matt's Big Breakfast here. The line to get in is around the block....every day. This place looks much bigger and has some great atmosphere about it.

I guess that's how to tell a good place to eat...if the parking lot is full it's probably a good bet.

I am surprised you have a restaurant for communists in Ocala. But if the food is good, I'll try it!

I am sure I would like the place!

So the owner is a redhead? I'd be tempted to eat there if the parking lot is often full.

One of those places that's so popular nobody goes there anymore?
