I feel sorry for the trees. I think that might make me a little weird.

That picture of the hawk was taken against a cloudy sky, I combined it with the Canyon picture in Photoshop. I think it would be almost impossible for me to get that picture any other way. But I wish I could. :)

Oh ya, 'Fresh Cut'... 2 months ago. Or tree cut in Maine 60 days ago, cut the bottom again. There you have it 'fresh cut' and needles falling on the carpet like crazy.

Where are they hiding? Because of unseasonably warmer weather the last week, our snow cover has melted. Don't worry; it is going to get colder as only Minnesota can. But, I don't think that I would have much Christmas spirit in warmer climates, based upon the weather these few snowless and warmer days.

Well, look at it this way: if those are "fresh-cut," you and I must be "newly-minted" and that's not half bad, right?

(BTW: I have no idea what kind of berries those were in my shot today. Some kind of ornamental, perhaps? I guess I'll have to go back and investigate when it has leaves and such to offer clues.)

Do they keep them in the shade to keep them fresh. They keep them out in the open here.

One man's idea of "fresh" is another man's idea of "tired, stale, worn...."

I haven't had a real tree in a very long time but, I do love how they smell when they are fresh.

I have yet to see a Christmas Tree lot around here. Looks like a 'sold out' sign is in order :).

I feel sorry for the trees that no one wants. I would like to rescue them so they get to be Christmas trees too. It seems sad if they were just cut for nothing. :(
