Ocala's Downtown Square Renovated

Ocala's downtown square had been neglected for a long time and was looking downright tacky.  Not anymore.  As part of a larger plan for revitalization of the downtown area, it has been renovated and updated and is now a much more pleasant place for our residents and visitors... and even the homeless.

The "new" square also provides a nicer venue for various events which are held there such as concerts, art shows and the Farmer's Market which is a Saturday feature.

Looks inviting. Eugene Oregon ... City near where we spend summers ... Has a Saturday Market that is so much fun. Really peps up the downtown area. We need to explore Ocala area a little more.

This has that small town appeal to it. I like it very much. For some reason it makes me think of "The Music Man" and Gary Indiana.

Will you be covering the events held there for your blog visitors?

In response to your comment on my post - There is a bird taking off from the tree :)

It's good to see someone cares about Ocala's downtown.
