I found this bird house on the 12th hole of the Ocala Golf Course. It's a bit strange to find a bird house on a golf course, but it's really strange to find one that is so beat up. It looks like some larger birds (or other animal) has successfully enlarged the original hole. I asked my friend to stick a finger in the hole but he refused. Politely. Chicken!

Ah, thanks for the smile and giggle for the day -- another GRAY, WET day!! I hope you have a great week, Lowell!!
Perhaps a snake has made its home in there!
Gee, Lowell! You think humans are the only ones who want to live next to a golf course??
Did you stick your hand in? ;-)
Hi Lowell, are you sure that this is a bird house and not the 12th hole of the Ocala Golf Course ? :)
Anyway, nice find !
I have to buy one of these, I have a few constant guests on my terrace...
I wonder what the rent is if it doesn’t play golf. I do not play golf and had to pay a premium for my lot and home on the Golf course. I did refuse to don wings and have my nose enlarged when I threatened to sue for discrimination.
I wonder how many golf balls have gone flying through that hole?
Hilarious, Lowell! Thanks so much for sharing. It is snowing here in Montreal today. :)
You didn't want to interrupt your game for a first aid stop now did you? It's cool that the course is protecting birds that way instead of seeing them as a nuisance.
I was wondering the same as Sharon :).
Preciosa fotografía.
Un saludo desde Salamanca.
Yes it looks as if there have been some renovations, Lowell!
Yeah, I wouldn't stick my finger in there either! It does make a lovely picture though.
ha, i don't blame him!
Probably a hungry squirrel or other meat eater tried to get in to eat the eggs, or the baby birds.
Maybe there is a chicken in there. Good one

I wonder who enlarged that hole.
What a brave bird to live on a golf course! (Or does a squirrel live there?)
