K Country in Horse Country

K Country is on 93.7 FM radio. It's a country music station that broadcasts in our area, and last week decided to broadcast in from of Kane's Furniture Store in Ocala. I didn't hang around very long, but they were offering food and drink, too. I'm assuming this was a promotional thingy for the radio station.

Country music...that's for me!

Reference your comment yesterday - You made me smile (yet again). It is impossible to find a brief 'link' to add about most things historical here in Coventry. I was intrigued by that link so we spent most of this morning looking at ruins (some) dating back to 11th century. Also took some photos inside the new Coventry Cathedral. Will post those next week. Please be prepared - it is a modern building. Possibly not what you are expecting to see :).

Rather yellow!

The only country singers that I'd listen to are women, and women get pretty much totally ignored by country music stations in favour of guys singing about beer and the pick up trucks and the dog and the wife who just left him for his brother.

Hmmm colorful, but how tasty???? Right at this moment though I'm too hungry to ask!! Better go fix some lunch -- after all food is what I went to Safeway for this AM!! Hope your day is going/gone well, Lowell!!

i always see these promotions in places but the people working them never seem that outgoing...you'd think they'd be calling people over to offer them free stuff!

Yep. Promotional thingy.

Maybe they were promoting the furniture store too, or perhaps the liquor store behind them? I'm a classic rock kind of gal, so I don't listen to much country music.

Did they have any live music?

There isn't a free sample or drink that I would pass up.

It's me again. You asked about the significance of porcupine quills in my Native American post yesterday. Here is what I found on Wiki: Porcupine quillwork is an art form completely unique to North America. Before the introduction of glass beads, quillwork was a major decorative element used by the peoples who resided in the porcupine's natural habitat,

I'm sure you are right, I see this kind of thing here all the time. Country music?? I'd be out of there faster than you could say achy breaky heart.

I'm late... I don't see any food and/or drinks, everything already finished?

Nice and colorful, but a quite unusual sight around here!

You know, I never ever used to like country music until I came to Europe. Now I see how it's so typically 'mer-kun.

Recently I rarely listen to radio but I would enjoy listening to the local FM radio in Kobe which deals with only pop music mostly from North America and Europe. The yellow is so eye-catching, and my eyes were also caught by the red leaves on the upper right. What with people waring short-sleeves or colored leaves like autumn, I’m confused with the sense of season, but it really looks nice weather to be out. Have happy and healthy days, Lowell.
