Geese always want to defend their territory, but there is no way of knowing why this goose was honking. Sometimes they just like to make noise. Hope you have a good weekend, Lowell.
Thank you so much for mentioning where you will be blogging, Lowell, in the future, and I always appreciate your visits and kind comments on my blog posts, and look forward to seeing your posts as well! I giggled at your description of this goose, and it just looks so familar to 3 geese that I 'know' that think they are the overseers of a horseback riding school that I sometimes visit (no, I don't horseback ride but I love to walk around and explore there, and they always greet me warmly...the humans, horses and dogs do, but the geese have a problem with anyone coming there). LOL! Thank you so much for sharing and I hope you have a great weekend. :)
I'll bookmark the other site, Lowell. I use a blog reader called Feedly, and for some reason it doesn't want to follow L&L. Maybe there's a setting you could change? Or if it's a problem at my end, let me know. Don't let me forget to visit!
The Canadian geese fly over my house from the nearby golf course all the time and they honk as they fly. Very noisy birds. I wonder why they feel the need to honk while flying. Most other birds fly silently.
