There are lots of golden leaves left on those trees and you have blue skies too. I saw a blue sky around 8am this morning and by the time I ate something and got dressed it was sleeting, it was only 9am. So I guess I have to move a little faster to enjoy a blue sky on my walk. :)

Enjoy your day!!

Very pretty Lowell! We have a few fall colors around here too. Thanks for the welcome back comment. I had a wonderful time with my grandkids, but I'm worn out and they gave me a cold!

I especially like the look of these against those grasses. Wonderful textures.

The deciduous trees turn color because of decreasing hours of sunlight, not because of the temperature. You found some great fall color. Our bright fall colors have faded to tans and browns, and it is soon to be white.

The contrasting colours in the top photo is very striking. All three trees are shaped nicely.

Very pretty! When you live in warmer climates like you and I do, you have to catch these colors when you can. Two years ago I spotted some trees turning a beautiful shade of red in mid-December. This year those same trees had lost their leaves in October which makes no sense to me because we've had unusually warm weather up to this week. I think some of nature's plants are getting confused.

How beautiful the orange-gold ablaze in the sunlight! The first photo shows the different things compliment each other. I’m happy for you that you can enjoy the taste of colored leaves. I don’t mean you eat colored leaves but “quality” (if my understand of the word is correct), but “tempura” of maple leaves is popular here in Japan.

Since early November when my daughter was told by a doctor to rest almost completely at home, I’d taken care of her and her son. Now that her pregnancy is 37th week, she can give birth any time, though the due time is mid-December. We are expecting for the little princess’ arrival. Wish you the warmth of family together during the Holiday Season and a healthy, peaceful New Year, Lowell.
