Beautiful sky. I almost want to hold my hands up to my monitor to absorb some of that warmth. Not that I miss warmer weather and bemoan cold temps, grey skies, and rain. I'm not that kind of sniveler.
What a delicious view and superb light. to answer your question on my site, I think the Arcosanti village is the place you are thinking of. It's been under construction for over 50 years. It's his visionary city. I haven't been since the 70's and I need to make a trip there to see what it looks like now. The only other self-contained environment I know about is the Biosphere near Tucson. It was the sealed community where scientists lived to see if they could survive without help from the outside. That experiment ended several years ago and now the site is used by the University of Arizona for research. Two different places with two different goals.

Terrific colors in that sunset. The sky seems so clear, I am surprised to see that much color.
