This kind of boat around here is known as a party barge because they are so stable and have so much room on them. They are perfect for a cruise up the river, but I hope they carry a paddle just in case.

The boaters certainly cooperated with their colorful garb. It looks like a nice outing and not a bit of ice to be seen.
