Studying, eating and talking
This young lady was seated in the cafe area of our local Barnes & Noble book store. She was talking on the phone and carrying out other activities at the same time. What a fascinating society we live in.
I read an article today which noted that our social media, e.g. Facebook, has become for many an addiction which is almost impossible to break. Facebook and other social media were created to be addictive. And once you're hooked, it's almost impossible to break free.
How many times a day do you check your smartphone?

No smartphone for me! She is doing major multitasking!
She seems to be in another world.. I'm happy with my mobile, but not every minute of the day ;)
Um belo momento fotográfico.
Um abraço e Excelente 2018.

That is serious multitasking.
I'm presently on the outs with Facebook. Not terribly impressed with their so called "community standards" these days.
I don't have a smart phone. When I saw this photo, my first thought was she listening but no one is there. Nice photo, I think I read the same article about fb that you mentioned. It's a crazy world isn't it.
I do have a smartphone, but it stays on my desk, on silent, during my workday. I check it for messages from my family. Nice to be able to be in contact. I do FB, Twitter, and Instagram, but not very much on any of them. I seem to be hit or miss!
Masters of multitasking!
Beautifully captured!
Yeah. I check my smartphone, mostly to play Words with Friends, an addiction I allow myself, thinking if I can keep my vocabulary polished maybe my brain will get the idea that I want it to stay functional. Whether that works remains to be seen.
No smart phone, only an old fliptop phone for use in emergencies, and mostly I forget to charge it.
Hmmm...I only check my smartphone once or twice or if it beeps at me. I don't go to Facebook very often even though some of my photos appear on there regularly, I post those via Instagram without even opening Facebook. I think the only time I actually open Facebook anymore is when someone I know or one of my sisters asks if I saw something they posted. The whole Russia thing and some of the remarks Jonathan Haidt made when I saw him at the ASU lecture have soured me on it.
This is real multitasking, Lowell !
I don't have a smart phone Lowell I don't approve of technical devices that may or may not be smarter than moi.. my camera is the only bit of technology that I actually like 😀😀
P.s. Super composition here.
I was going to write a longer comment, but I have to go check my phone and Facebook.
Yeah, it is crazy times!
