Keep on Praying!

There is a fundamentalist group of wanna-be Christians here in Ocala who believe, mistakenly, that planting "prayer" signs in the grass around town is what Jesus meant by "evangelism." I've tried to help them out by giving this photo a watercolor look but I'm afraid it will make little difference.

One clue that maybe they've got things wrong is that the signs keep disappearing and must be constantly replaced.  Another clue is to be found in the directional sign atop the post in the middle of the picture.  The way they should go is confusing.  But they refuse to give up. This particular sign, for example, went missing for several months, and now, "Presto!" it has returned!

Glad to see you and Lois Anne are still around and finding things to comment on in sometimes strange central Florida.

Hope all is well with both of you and all the family. Best wishes in 2019.

Christ said something about keeping worship a private thing, so as to not look like a self righteous zealot concerned less with the message and more with their own piety.

A pity this group doesn't seem to get that.

I have never understood things like these signs. But I’m a born-again heathen, so my opinion doesn’t count with those who place them.

If I saw this sign, I'd just be confused as to it's meaning, then I'd look both ways to see if any traffic is coming, then just ignore it.
