It appears to be an old horse barn, now abandoned and gradually falling into disrepair surrounded by new homes and shopping centers along Highway 200. The photo has been treated with the Triqui paint process.

Awesome effect and nicely composed picture. The colors look so vibrant and lively... I'll checkout how this effect exactly can be used... Thanks for sharing this new piece of information... :-)
It looks just like a painting. Very cool! Thanks for your help Jacob. I'm think I'm going to get Photoshop Elements 7. Then a few books on that and photography from the library.
Old barns are a favorite subject of mine. You did a great job on this one. I'm in the process of putting some barn shots on my flickr site. I shot a few on our recent trip to the midwest, through the windshield at about 60mph and oddly enough some of them turned out pretty nice.
Mary Beth, I'm sorry if I did not respond to your question...Triqui is a Photoshop "action," which is simply a series of manipulations put together in such a way as to achieve a certain result...at the click of a mouse button.
There are literally thousands of actions available - most of which are free.
If you're using Photoshop, Google "Photoshop Actions" and you will see...
There are several Triqui actions, developed, I believe by a woman (can't remember the name) but very talented!
