The Live Oak Animal Clinic
Dr. Douglas Shearer is the vet in charge of this very busy clinic. They handle small and large animals. Our Haley is a Golden Retriever and we chose Dr. Shearer because he is a Golden owner, loves Goldens and is part of the Golden Rescue service.
A few years ago, he was instrumental in saving Haley's life.
He also has a great sense of humor. Notice he has conveniently located a doggie restroom in front of the clinic.
The clinic recently remodeled the building. Evidently, they were having some problems with unruly children. Thus the sign, posted prominently in the waiting area.

voila un vétérinaire qui a beaucoup d'humour ;o))
Very nice clinic and they have a sense of humour.
That's a funny sign! I liked the first composition very much! Looks like a complete picture. Very perfect!
lol!
real good sense of humour! nice to see vets smiling at their jobs too!
Nice to know that your vet has a Golden too.
We had a Golden as a family pet for almost 14 years, she was the best dog ever!
This sign is an excellent idea!
I love Goldens, too. All the best to Haley. Hope the doc can fix him/her up quickly.
The sign made me smile. Dr. Shearer seems a very funny guy...
Ah this is a wonderful sign .. similar to one I photographed in a restaurant some months ago .. it was effective there as well
That sign is priceless! I have to remember that one.
Neat shot--doggie restroom--haha!
It's always nice to know a compassionate Vet. Just like human docs sometimes they are in a big rush. MB
Awww! That's adorable! I sure wish we had a vet like him here in Southeast MO. hehehe
Such a nice clinic !! Great Post Jacob...Do check my another blog also i.e.Unseen Rajasthan
Lol, that sign! ;-)
The fire hydrant is a nice touch. I was lucky to find a really good vet around my place. I'm pretty sure that if he'd thought of the fire hydrant - he would have done the same thing!
I'm a cat person but if I ever did get a dog a rescued Golden Retriever would b way up on the list.
That sign is priceless.
@ Unseen - Thanks. I have checked out your other blog and did again, and I'm very impressed. If we plan a trip to your area you can be sure we'll check with you first!
It's good to have a vet with a sense of humor!
Yeah, that's quite a witty sign! The vet must be a piece of work indeed... But you know, even with all those qualities I can hardly imagine Luna making friends with the good old man...
God bless you!

Our vet's office has that same sign!! Maybe they were trying to disguise the fire extinguisher by painting it like that. :-)
That's funny, Lisa. I hope whoever dreamed up the sign is making some money. It's a great one!
I have been looking for a vet for a long time and finally find the right ones at Live Oak. Dr. Weller was superb, engaged, compassionate and professional. Your best friends are in good hands here.
