Off The Top Barber Shop
Off The Top Barber Shop has been in business in east Ocala for 32 years. Bill (in red) has worked at the shop for 25 years; Joel (in purple) for almost as long; and Marty (in black) has also been there for 25 years.

Interesting. I went by the barber's shop who used to cut my father's hair when I was young. I'm talking 40+ years ago. He hasn't retired. He had all his equipment sitting outside while several men were installing new wood flooring. Seems he plans on being there a while longer. I applaud these three for being so loyal to there customers for so long.

Very nice group of people, my favorite is the one with Bill at work. I have to check my former barber: he's practically an Al Pacino look alike.
Love these old time barber shops - I guess that's one thing you can't oursource. Great photos.

"A little off the top," that's what I used to say when I had a little bit on top.
"Off the Top" is such a great name. And it really says something that those people have been working there for 25 years.
I hope my wife doesn't see this because It's right around the time that she starts bugging me to get my hair cut.
You see I blog so much that I need a barber that makes house calls and cuts will I post and make comments. :-)

That's a great name for a barbershop! My Dad used to say that all the time. They look like they really enjoy their work.

A combined 83 years. Next time you are there, thank them for staying in one place for so long. A good barber does more for PR in a town than just about anyone!
