A good ol' country band

Entertaining visitors at the Silver River State Park was this group - a good ol' country band, singing good ol' country songs, just like Willie sings 'em. Don't know the name of the group, but I heard tell they was from the city of Jacksonville! And they weren't half-bad.

Very nice, Lowell. I love old music.

Hope that you enjoyed yourself at the festive and swinging occasion. PS. We did NOT get to Florida; the Cypress Garden I posted is close to Charleston, SC where we are staying for the winter.

I hope she was a singin' with a twang. Love that bass.

If you'll pardon my objection, unless ole Willie has made some, uhm, big changes in hisself lately, it doesn't look like this group sings just like Willie sings 'em. . .having a woman singin' there, front and center, an such. . .

Looks like a fun group.

What a lovely setting for a concert (although I'll pretend they're singing big band, or anything other than country). Nice shot, Lowell!

Great looking stage to perform on too!

Bands with no names are quite often good....

Oh, and by the way, you know what happens when you play a country song backwards (cd, tape), don't you?

Answer: You get your truck back, you get your dog back, you get yer girl back and life is good.

No fan of Willie and his ponytail, but I'd give these guys a listen. My 'country tastes' are few... and ALL over the place.

Country music isn't my favorite. But I can listen to almost anything live for awhile. :)

They have some serious instruments in this group! I bet they sounded pretty darn good.

Looks like it might be fun to set a spell and listen to the music. Or maybe do a little boot scooten' if the music moved you.

The guy with the cap on backwards needs a cowboy hat. :)

Wonderful! Maybe a little Merle thrown in there too?

I think I heard this same group at Rainbow Springs. They were very good....roll out the barrels!
