The donkey began walking when we stopped and looked at him over the fence. He went to his ball and slowly but surely nudged the ball ahead of him as he approached us. He wanted to play but we weren't sure of his game and we certainly weren't going to climb the fence to find out.
He watched us disconsolately as we hopped on our bikes and rode away.

You ass for it. :)
What a character! Hope he found someone to play ball with.
Now, this is just adorable.
A Michael Jordan fan I'd bet!
This is so cute. I've never heard of a donkey that plays ball but, anything is possible.
The donkey knows that soccer is enjoyed much more with friends.
What a cute little fellow. If he is out there all by himself, I bet he is lonely.
You meanies he just wanted to play. But you had to pedal you A**'s outa there. MB
He looks so sad! Wish you could have played with him. :)
Ohhh... this is a cute series!
I am tempted to play with him :-)
Oh my, oh my. How darling this series is. You will have to go back with a carrot or apple!
What a cutie. Too bad you couldn't invite him to bicycle with you.
Sweet! ;-)
Cute chap! You think you would have got a kick out of playing with him? ;)
That is cute, Lowell. But you are a big chicken.
Probably a Miami Heats fan. I would love to have a donkey.
Oh, sweet thing. I'd have played with him.
Did you read the recent news about the "Zonkey" (Zebra-Donkey hybrid) born in Italy?
What a very cute series! Great captures, Lowell.
Thanks for all the morning laughs and smiles...
The game is what brings people and animals. Replaces speech.
Awww. Now I feel sad for the poor little thing. I hope he found a playmate.
Hmmm. Does he want to play kickball?
Isn't he already well known for his kicks? :-D
