Geese Unaware

These poor geese had no idea how much danger they were in. If they did, they would have flown right back to Toronto for the winter!

Golfers can be dangerous.

Those good natured Canadians seem to be very adaptable. And I sometimes think I'd too put up with a little danger for some warmer weather...

They are sitting ducks out there! ;-)

From their point of view, the golf course belongs to them, not to those silly humans walking around and driving those carts and hitting little balls into sandtraps.

Maybe they wanted to play through.

I almost hit a couple of egrets when I was golfing in Spain. I would have been sad if they were hurt though.
Very glad to see you're back! :D

They are just missing a 'bulls-eye' on their chests!

Please don't send them back! There many of their relatives still wintering it out here. They have become so accustom to people that they just mingle in.

If I was in the tee box, they would be safer here near the green then in the woods. I've got a heck of a slice. Fore!

What a beautifully framed photo, Lowell !
Hopefully that geese do not confuse the ball with an egg :-)

Nah! You can keep them, Lowell. We have a whole new bunch from the Arctic visiting us, enjoying our balmy weather.

If you get too close, one of them might come after you. They can be quite aggressive if given a reason to be.

On a green I will probably be able to get a duck, but not much more...

They don't look worried :).

I've got a similar shot from a visit to Australia except it kangaroos. They DID look worried...ha ha!

Did you bonk one?
