Florida & Texas Longhorns

On a hot afternoon, the Florida Longhorns knew enough to find some shade under the old oak tree. The Texas Longhorns, though, being dumb as door knobs, remained in the open, chewing grass, allowing the heat to sap them of whatever energy they might have had when they lived on a ranch west of Houston. Turns out they belong to the Conservative Cow Patty Party.

My kind of Florida. The days of fields, hot sun, and animals in pastures. Maybe they have solar panels and are recharging.

You made me laugh out loud again Lowell, I'm very happy you're back 😀 Wouldn't like to get to close to those horns, whatever their political leanings 😉

It figures that the Florida Longhorns would be smarter! We have some of them off of I-10 near Tallahassee. When I visit my sister in Austin in a few weeks, no doubt I will be seeing some of those dumber conservative ones (probably see some cattle too).

I see that you haven't lost your humour. :)
BTW, Ireland does celebrate Halloween, it's really big here.

Lowell, enjoying your sense of humor. Keep it up. When John Wayne was looking for Longhorn cattle to use in his film, The Alamo, in 1959 they were hard to locate. Now they seem quite common across Texas and elsewhere.

You made me laugh, Lowell. Wish no heat-stroke to the Texas Longhorns.
