Dee Dee's Dog House

Dee Dee's sells hot dogs and their accouterments. Dee Dee's is located near Ocala's railroad station just north of the downtown area. Dee Dee's claims to be "world famous". Could that be true? Have you ever heard of it?

For some funny reason their world wide marketing missed our town. Hmmmmm.

I dont think the term "world famous" is copyrighted... besides, it could be relative, and in "their world" :)

I love hot dogs but I'm sorry to state that Dee Dee's fame hasn't (yet) reached the coast of Tuscany. If they are interested to extend their brand recognition, samples of their merchandise will be welcome.

LOL! Well, I don't think that they are world famous...yet, but they will be after today!

Fun picture.... I love eateries like this..... but as for world famous.... It's not been heard of around here.

Is it on an edge of an industrial area? Looks like a lot of tracks in the background.

I do note seeing the skies in your pics. This year we have had some strange weather. Drought in the early part of summer. Now we get cold temps, a lot of clouds, and a small amount of rain. Storms have been minimal and I think we set a record this year for how late the first serious storm hit.

I see your pics....... blues skies..... no clouds.... well ok, maybe you have a couple whispy clouds...but thats it. Looks gorgeous.

I agree with Nikki. You deserve a free dog for your efforts.

@ Dan - the weather is different than the climate. Because of climate change, we're all experiencing more extreme weather. It's weird, but as the planet heats, you may get much colder weather in Minnesota! We're getting hotter weather this summer in Florida, although last winter it was colder than usual.

Thanks for your kind comments.

Dee Dee's is even more famous thanks to you.I love the bricks against the blue sky.

I totally understand about the award and I don't think stings or rules should come with them. I like your Pixel Perfect award style, and I've even thought about doing something similar in the future.

I hope you are enjoying your day!

Jacob: Silvanna is a very nice small town. The people are there for each other. Because it is so small most work elsewhere and/or are small farmers. Lots of organics out this way. Willow and Jims Cafe is a meeting and eating place--always full--and Silvanna Meats is also "world famous" too. I think it is. and when Jason died the whole town grieved together. MB

The sign is so cool! And the blue sky too!

Now I have! Dee Dee's management should offer you a lifetime worth of hotdogs for advertising them on your site. :-)

I hadn't heard of it before, but I (and others) have now, so maybe it is "world" famous.

I laugh when I see little places like this claiming to be world famous. Makes me think a relative or friend in Canada loves them and tells all their friends. "World famous," indeed! I've never heard of this before...

Yep, I also read about it a minute ago. The potential customer base is growing exponentially!

Interesting habit to make a bold claim (like on that sign) and then put it within quotation marks to be on the safe (?) side. It's being practiced here as well.

Never heard of it either, but I love the sign! Nice picture with a fantastic blue sky.

I've been enjoying the comments. Just to let you know, it's not famous in Astoria, either. Maybe next year?

Can't say that I heard of it. Just out of curiosity, ever heard of the Gopher Bar? George makes the best Coney I've ever had. BTW, I really should visit more often, being you're an ex Twincitien. Adding link to my blog, that's how I remember. Later
