Ocala/Marion County Chamber of Commerce

The Ocala/Marion County Chamber of Commerce building is located across from Ocala's downtown square. These are the folks that promote commerce and construction throughout Marion County in north central Florida.

The photo has been treated with a colored sketch effect.

I think that these are the most modern buildings I have seen in your blogs.

Salem is the county seat for Marion County, OR. I just looked on line...there are quite a few Marion Counties in the US. Our Chamber of Commerce is in dire need of a face lift. Interesting photo effect too.

It look surprisingly like a model yet to be built...

Very nice effect! I like that clock tower too.

I love the shapes of the building and the palm trees are great.

@ Lois - I was going to post more clock towers, but I just did have the time! ;-)

Interesting effect, looks like it will be palm tree trimming time soon.

That's an interesting effect - did it alter the photo very dramatically when you 'treated' it?

I like the right building. It looks like a concept sketch! Interesting effect!

Lowell said...

@ Jackie - No, not really. It lightened some parts, took away some detail in other parts and darkened other parts...but the photo remained pretty much the same.

I like the effect. It makes everything so crisp. How do you do it? I am a true greenie when it comes to different effects. I suppose you have some different sort of soft ware?

BTW: Thanks for all the nice words on my blog. I appreciate it/them. MB

Cool photo! Any place with PALM trees is great! What's the temp today (with the wind chill)?

Lowell said...

Hey Leif - It was pretty hot. I cut the grass and damn near died. But a bit of rain in the PM cooled things down to high 80s. And tomorrow's only supposed to be about 92 or 93...

By the way, you can have the palm trees! I never knew they were so messy until we moved into this house...we've got three beautiful tall palms by the pool but they drop little berry type things that squish and stain purple and get in the pool and make a huge mess and to trim the trees costs a lot of money and I don't want to do it this year.

Forget palm trees. Forget water oaks, too. The only tree that's any good in Florida is the Live Oak, but they are slow-growing so developers and are more expensive so developers don't put them in.

Have a nice cool day tomorrow!

Steffe had a TON of comments on his blog today - you might want to check it out! It's all about the red barn . . .
