St. George Anglican Cathedral & Best Blog Award

St. George Anglican Cathedral, an independent Anglican institution, is located on Ocala's east side. The cathedral has been in existence for 13 years and is led by the very charming Rt. Rev. Fr. Arthur C. Rushlow.

Father Rushlow graciously allowed us to take photos of this beautiful structure, and we thank him for that opportunity.

This is the second such award Ocala Daily Photo has received, and we are grateful to Mary at Detroit photoblog for the honor. Thank you, Mary, very much! Please check out Mary's wonderful blog and her great photography here.

That's my kind of church - stained glass, old world feel! As long as they don't have a rock band in worship, I'm in!

It seems to be a quaint church somewhere in the English countryside. I find this much more appealing and personal than the mega church you posted a few weeks ago. I'm assuming there probably aren't over 200 Anglican churches in Ocala.

It's absolutely gorgeous Jacob! I'm glad you got some inside shots too. What beautiful windows. Congrats on your award!

Beautiful shots of a lovely building .. and congrats to Mary!

What does: Fr: Jologs na Yuppie mean?

Lowell said...

Thank you all for your gracious comments!

Antjas - No, not 200...but I think there may be a total of three...this one, and one that meets in a Christian Church, and another small one that has a little wooden building on the other side of town...

Daryl - I have no clue...and I've been too busy to ask...I'll check with Mary...

Very pretty place. I love the red doors, they seem to set off the building and make it look inviting.

What a beauty! I also love the stained glass and miss it in our "lake" site at Easter by the Lake in Eagan. Although, the rock band MORE than makes up for the lack of stained glass...!

It is a beautiful church. Seeing the inside and the intricate stained glass windows and light coming in makes it much more special. The variety of church styles and designs is amazing isn't it?

We appreciate all the support you give us in the blog world. Awards aren't enough thanks. Congratulations!

What a pretty church! Your interior shots are very beautiful and crisp. Did you use a tripod? Thank you for including so many pretty photos of it and I am glad that you got to hang out with the priest. Doesn't that just add to the pleasure of having this blog? Getting to meet interesting people along the way? - Congrats on the award! You deserve it!
