Need a crutch to lean on?

On our way to breakfast the other morning, we spied this pair of crutches in the parking lot. After breakfast, they were still there. How can someone forget a pair of crutches?

You know, I saw this once too. I thought the same thing. Then I just figured Benny Hinn came along and the person just didn't need them any more. ;-}

I'd think the person got collected by car. Maybe got assistance into the car and the helper forgot to put the crutches in afterwards. They'll notice when they get to the end of the journey though!

A miracle cure, I believe. Left for the next needy person. MB

Gosh, that makes for a great shot. I have a few crutches I wish I could do without.

Maybe they were left there. When people don't need something here, they leave it out on the street, usually near a public trash bin. These crutches would have been snatched up in a hurry here!

No, he was a con and was arrested. Or he was real and miraculously healed. Or more probably eaten by a bunch of gators.

He might start running from this point, who knows?

No thanks. No crutches for me please! (; The profiler in me thinks, according to the handgrip adjustment they belong to a person of medium height. Meaning, they could belong to anyone. (; Hope you took them home to sell them on ebay. *LOL*

Perhaps they had a religious experience while sipping their coffee.

@ Brattcat...well, I did see some old guy go running down the street yelling, "I'm healed! I'm healed!"

Unfortunately, he was hit by a car.

;-))

@ Buenos Aires - No, I didn't take them home to sell on eBay. You're so funny. We thought perhaps someone was in a wheelchair, went to a car, set the crutches aside, got into the car, put the wheelchair away and forgot the crutches.

So, I'm hoping he/she came back and found them still leaning against the pole.

Either they were miraculously cured and didn’t need them, or they tried crawling and found it exercised more parts of the body.

Perhaps it is a Candid Camera stunt.

It's a very cool shot, and a good "story starter." The real reason ay be mundane enough, but it's amazing the things that come to mind as possibilities.

Most likely forgotten by someone helping the person get into the car. I hope they did come back and find them still there! My Dad used crutches similar to these after he had polio when he was a young man. We always used to get into trouble when we were kids for playing with them!

In Steve Martin's excellent movie LA Story, at the beginning, you can see an elderly couple walking with 2 of those... walkers, I think they're called. Once arrived at the Lamborghini or Ferrari, they just put them in the boot, and speeded away. Same couple, one crutch each this time.

Was it close to a Doctor's office?
The cast is gone, they left it for the next patient!

I wondered where I left them - thank you for finding them!

One would also think they would remember where to look for them! But I like the miracle idea. It made a lot of us smile today.

About the fleas. It wasn't a dog park. It was a park for people. Homeless people with a penchant for alcohol sometimes take up temporary residence there, but not so much this year. Not sure why.

Je crois, comme les autres, qu'il y a eu un miracle !

Très beau le ciel dorage. Mais j'aurais eu un peu peur si j'avais été dessous.

They obviously got better. Must have been that miracle cure.

Hmmm. Good question!

I wonder if someone helped someone helped someone into car or wheelchair and then forgot the crutches.
