The HITS really is a photo op -- Nice shots, although I particularly like the one of the guy putting on a horseshoe. Can I borrow that horseshoe for the next time I play poker?
I'm not the horse lover in my family, that title goes to my mom! I'm kinda scared of 'em, but they're beautiful to look at & more importantly, take pictures of... lots & lots of pictures!
Those are fabulous horse photos! I really like the photo of the young kids with their helmets and horses! I just hope Frank is very careful changing the horseshoe!
I'm not so keen on horses but I like very much this new streak: you are showing us a fascinating part of the real Ocala and your images are absolutely great!
Wonderful pictures, but I'm so impressed with the size of the horse in that first shot, it's huge.Maybe those girls are petite that's the reason for this contrast. :) The last close up is really adorable! Léia
Love the shots, I would be in awe watching everyone go about their business.
About your question about politics. Our local Democratic party is running 3 local candidates in the primary. One is the County Chair up for re-election. They all are running unopposed in the primary at least. Check the county website for an idea of how good our county chairperson is. kcdemocrats.org
And you know who we are by now. So beautiful. I'll bet the owner would love to have that last one, the portrait of the bay horse. The one of the head gear on the fence was wonderful too! Thank you, thank you, Jacob.

My fav pic is the very last one. Handsome horse. Aren't they just so wonderful. MB
un beau reportage, les chevaux sont magnifiques. Je pourrais pas faire maréchal-ferrant , j'aurais trop peur que le cheval me donne un coup de pattes

Very, very nice photos. I can feel the horse's warm, flat cheek in the last photo, and his velvety muzzle.
Fantastic coverage of the event (on this and previous posts) - great photos!

That first horse is huge. My entire knowledge of horses consists of feeding one end and avoid the other.
Great post, Jacob! Also like the previous dog and horse posts, the photos are wonderful!
Hourses are fantastic beautiful creatures and your photos are so juicy and colorful!
Ocala claims to be the horse capital of the USA and has many large and small horse farms.

That final portrait is quite something. Good horse-sense is hard to come by these days!
