Bird Condo - Central Florida

Condos and townhomes are being built on the shores of the many lakes in central Florida.

As is almost always the case, they get more expensive the closer they are to the water. This particular condominium was only a few yards from Lake Sunnyside and thus the individual units demanded outrageous prices!

Middle-class birds have been priced out of the market.

Ah, there are a lot of us getting priced out of the market these days!! And I guess, these days, that applies to birds as well!! Classy looking house though and a fun shot for the day!! Hope you're getting ready for a lovely weekend!!

It is the same story here, Lowell! The closer you get to downtown and Lake Ontario, the higher the price. ;-))

This is awesome, Lowell, I love it! Here in Montreal we have one for Purple Martins, and it is right by the water. I love seeing these! :)

Where do birds carry their checkbooks? Do they get minimum wage? They should get a deduction on fees yas the do not take up parking spaces or cause wear and tear on the roads, which should also reduce their taxes. If they have lawyers they should demand an accounting of dues and maintenance costs and they should sue if anything is found wrong on an audit.

Looks like some of the tenants are hard on their apartments. Landlords always have to do repairs on their property even if it is high rent.

Darn those condo builders. I feel for those middle-class birds. ;-)

And then there's the problem of squatters with long bushy tails.

The loud speakers in The Village remind me very much of my early days in China where there were loud speakers in just about every park, square, and main street. They played patriotic martial music and political leader's speeches. Thankfully the bad old propaganda days are past, and those loudspeakers are gone. But then Chinese news is still mostly all good news about happy people and soaring production.

And I'll bet the cost of those penthouse suites is sky high!

I bet that 'ruffled a few feathers'!

I hope they are roomy enough to justify the prices!

Would be funny if the riff-raff landed first, impossible to get those squatters out :)

I'm not near the Danube or the Sava, but live under the eaves downtown. We bought this place before the prices rose higher than your bird condo. Anybody in the condo?

There are still some nice places inside a saguaro cactus out here in the desert if they'd like to migrate this way.
