Raw Milk at the downtown Farmer's Market

Personally, I want my milk homogenized and pasteurized. There's a lot of discussion as to the benefits and risks of raw milk. Just give it a Google.

Lowell, I agree; however, I have a childhood memory of summer visits on a farm owned by a friend's relatives that included fresh milk straight from the cow. Heavenly!

No argument from me.

I agree wholeheartedly with you, Lowell! There is a reason why they do it and it is for our benefit. Lovely photo. :)

I quit drinking milk when I was still in the crib and I haven't touched it since. Well, I do use it in cooking when called for but, other than that I don't touch the stuff.

I do not remember it, but must have done well on whatever my mother gave me, no matter how I was delivered. I remember when pasteurized milk first came out. It was advertised on signs along the beach in Long Beach, NY, when I lived there before the real Depression. We used to pass our hands across our eyes when someone said the words, then laughed as if we knew what it meant. Those were the good old days when I was on the way to a career in pre-puberty humor. Once I found out what the things meant, I gave up my new career. I might have made it, as the competition was worse.

I agree; pasteurized it is. Maybe would eat cheese from raw milk...well-aged.

Illegal to sell it in Canada.

I don't want to drink it raw, but cheese made from raw milk is delicious!
