How sweet! I remember doing that with my kids. I also like seeing that sailboat anchored just off the beach. Reminds me of some good times on a friend's sailboat years ago.

Awwwww....great childhood memories for me in this photo, Lowell. When I was 9 years old, my mother's sister and her son (my cousin) took my mother and I by car to Maine...Old Orchard Beach. I loved it and still remember it quite well after all these 50 years! Beautiful photo, thanks so much for sharing. :)

Yep, this brings back memories...except in Northern California it was usually too chilly to romp in bathing suits. We waded and screamed at the cold, then waded until it didn't bother us anymore. Then we got all sandy and wet.

Lovely image. And what a horisont. I can't see such here because we have so lots of islands.

Future memories, of the best kind!

oh now I am envious, I want to feel the sand between my toes and the sun on all the bits that I normally keep covered up.

And the sea does look very welcoming!

I remember those days at the beach with my mother and how she taught me to be careful of the water and what it felt like to have the waves crash over the top of me. It wasn't so scary when mom was holding my hand.

Fun shot indeed.
