Slow Day at the Olive Garden

There were people about on the day this photo was taken, just not in our section. We had the usual, soup and salad (Minestrone) with breadsticks.

The City Daily Photo theme for May 1 is "Let's Eat." You can view other takes on the theme HERE.

Good choice. I love minestrone soup.

They have this chain here, but I've never been in there.

One of my favorites! I love those breadsticks.

I much prefer dining in a quiet place rather than a busy noisy restaurant. There are some restaurants that have lost me as a patron because of the noise level; it ruins the experience for me.

My daughter loves to eat here. A great place for some mom/daughter conversation.

We were in an Olive Garden once. They were featuring a "bottomless" bowl of Minestrone soup which my wife ordered. After her second bowl a snippy waiter said, "You have have enough soup, each of these bowls holds a quart of soup, and you have already had a half gallon, so no more soup for you." He was a soup Nazi. The bowls were flat bottomed and might have held a half pint. We have avoided Olive Garden ever since we were asked to leave for ordering too much soup.

Looks really slow! Can't go wrong with the Olive Garden soup & salad combo.

There used to be Olive Garden here in Canada, but they packed up and went home. For some reason they were not a success.

There are only 6 Olive Garden Restaurants left in Canada. There used to be a lot more. The closest one to me in Canada is 2,082 km. If I want to travel to an other country the closest one is 176 km., in Niagara Falls, New York State. Just saying.

Wholesome meals to start a day. The sunlight through the windows look comfortable.

Sounds good Lowell, there's nothing as nice as a bowl of soup.. except maybe two bowls of soup 😀😀
