F.L.P.P. aka Dust Busters

You've probably heard of Ghostbusters or maybe you saw the movie - a 1984 sci-fi fantasy.  Well, these folks don't work with ghosts but other than that, they pretty much do it all - inside and outside of your house. And if someone trashes your place, they'll clean it up. If you trash it, they'll clean it up. They give new meaning to the word, "handyman."

From what I've read, people who have had their home foreclosed on, sometimes trash the property before they leave the property.  Not a good thing, obviously, but F.L.L.P. will clean it up and get it ready for sale.

P.S.  I just made up "Dust Busters."  That's not really part of their name.

It would be a good name for a cleaning company!

When I lived in the house on the west side of town, my neighbors were foreclosed on and I remember that when they left, they took everything out of that house, all appliances, ceiling fans, light fixtures and a few plumbing fixtures. I knew because they took the drapes too and I could see straight through the house.

I can't even imagine trashing up a house, there must be many people with anger issues! Dust Busters is way more exciting than their real name Lowell, put it in their suggestion box 😀

That's a job that sometimes has to be done.

I've never heard the term 'foreclosure trash outs' but I know about what it means. what it does. Years ago one of our sons bought his first home from the city (in Oregon) which had taken over an empty foreclosed property; He had a lot of cleanup and fix-it stuff to do. It was a good thing for a young guy to learn some skills and take some responsibility. (He has moved up in the world since then -- now has kids in their early 20s, the age he was then.)

A house down the street from us was foreclosed and the foreclosee chose to act like a baby with a tantrum and a hammer. The new owners have worked for several years to repair the damage (which included sawed through parts of a 2nd story deck) and make it habitable. (And in an interesting twist the husband of the new owner couple bought the house on a trip here without the wife having seen the place. They're still married. And they're young enough to survive the challenge.)
