Ocala Bicycle Center

The Ocala Bicycle Center is owned and operated by Carrie and Dan Miller.  They opened for business in 2005, shortly after we moved to Ocala.  As I recall, we were among their first customers and over the years have purchased several bikes from them.

They are family people, and invest themselves in the community in a variety of ways.  Honesty and integrity are fundamental to their business.  And they care about their customers.  Although we may not see them for months they never forget who we are and greet us warmly when we walk in the door.

If you wish to know more, please check out this website HERE.

A few of their bikes for sale

The bikes run between several hundred dollars to several thousand dollars.

Dean - An excellent bike technician.  Lest you think setting up and repairing modern bicycles is an easy job, let me assure you that it requires much training and a great deal of skill.  Dean knows how to do the job.

This is a great testimonial to a successful local business. I'm not a very good bike rider, never really learned to ride as a child as I grew up where there were no roads. I have a bike but it's got 2 flat tires at the moment and I'm nervous to ride by myself.

Your comments and the appearance of the shop in your wonderful photos appear that they are running a successful business. Always a good sign in our economy! Can't wait to get my bike out of the garage to enjoy spring!

...Dang, that bike costs more than my first car!

I like that orange bike! I haven't ridden my bike in years.

Sounds like "Good People" to me. That is a very expensive bike. It must be one of those very light weight ones that racing cyclists use.

Nice to see honest, hardworking people running a business like this.

The place looks well stocked, and neatly taken care of.

I haven't been on a bike in years, admittedly.

It makes so much difference when you feel that you are a welcome customer.

As a kid, I used to love the smell of a bike shop. Haven't rode one in years, I prefer walking with my camera. The expensive bike, I don't even understand the lingo used in describing it. Bikes used to be simple, now they're so advanced.

Bikes get you around plenty well but, like Bill B., I prefer walking. Always have. And I can think of a few other things I'd rather spend $2,500 on than a bike though I'm sure a bike person might happily drool over the EX 7 29.

A good bike shop makes riding a bike much easier, and it appears you have a good one. They sell a fine line of bicycles. I have one of those myself.

What a lovely and inviting bike shop! All the staff look kind and friendly and their faces show how they love their job. My husband would love to stop by. He biked around Japan in his youth.
