Thanksgiving House

This photo comes from last fall. The pumpkins are a dead giveaway. For some reason I didn't post it then, but when I came across it recently, I decided it was time.

The house is located about six blocks from downtown in a mixed residential/commercial area.  When I first noticed it several years ago it was in pretty bad shape, but has recently been renovated.

I like it - the style, the colors, the turret, the stone steps ...

That's a beautiful house. It's a good thing someone took the time (and money) to bring it back to life.
The "sky train" in Phoenix runs from a light rail stop near 44th street & Washington to the airport. Once it gets on the airport grounds, it stops first at the economy parking garage and then on to the terminals. Before it was there, there was a bus service from the light rail station and from the economy parking lot. So that meant you had to climb on a bus with your luggage. With this train, it's an escalator to the station and roll right on the train. It makes parking at the airport much easier. But, at a charge of about $17 per day at the economy lot, most of the time it's just cheaper to take an Uber.

That is a great looking house. Looks like a perfect house for a family who enjoys entertaining friends. Glad the house was restored.

A beautiful home, Lowell. It looks different from the standard house which makes it very attractive, as does the combination of white and blue. I love the part that is like a tower.
Re your question on my blog about the church: it's a Protestant church. We just passed it and didn't go inside, but maybe on a next visit!

A sweet old place. Even that chimney on the left has some nice details. They seem to be putting turrets on lots of newer buildings. But they always look more authentic on golden oldies like this one.

Nice to know this traditional home was renovated. In addition to what you wrote, I like the dormer, the chimneys, and the roof tiles.
