The Painter

In the garden of the Rodin Museum in Paris there is a statue called The Thinker. We don't have a Rodin Museum or The Thinker here in Ocala, but we have The Painter.

Hey, we try.

You are the "florida thinker," Lowell and I am interested in your mental process getting from Paris to Ocala—a bit of a stretch but fascinating how our minds work, isn't it? I always see to gravitate toward patterns and I noted the abundance of straight lines in your photo!

Very lifelike! ;-)

I find myself wondering how secure that ladder is.

It appears to me that the painter sat in the paint!

Nice and clean photo, Lowell.
No murals here ?

Maybe The Painter is thinking too. Who knows?

Yikes! You wouldn't find me on that ladder. I like the paint color.

I don't see a brush so maybe he's texting someone to tell them there is a crazy guy with a camera and he's focused on me. What should I do? Just fake it like everyone else. :)

Love this composition.

In reply to your query on my post - There is no entry fee as of now. No idea what the words on the life saver indicate. Maybe just that - Scrappy news'. Possibly an ad for a local website.

This hurts. Not because there's anything wrong with your photo. I just found out that the man who does our painting for us was picked up and is in some sort of immigrant detention facility. Despite his green card. Leaving, of course, his wife and children to fend for themselves. "R" is super diligent, hard working, and a sweetheart of a human being.
When did we get so bereft of humanity that we can't welcome people who only want a better life, many of whom do work none of our native born will deign to do? Oh yeah. January, 2017.
