The Longhorn Bar

After a long day riding the range, tending to the horses, one needs a place to relax and have a drink or two. Some locals find the Longhorn Bar the place to go. Actually, business folks, lawyers, doctors, teachers, secretaries and even a few retired people have been seen in these environs! You might even see a preacher or two, but they'll be in a booth in the back.

Extremely nice photo, thanks for sharing it. I just love the colors, but all the shapes give a textured feel (if that's the right word) to it.

What a warm and cozy place, but where is everbody. Did you scare them away with your camera?
Nice shot.

An answer to a question you posed awhile back. Yes my eldest is a real cowgirl. She does the branding of the calves and even assists the vet when he has to be there. As I said all the cow work is done on horseback. And she is a skinny thing too. MB

This place looks cosy and as you said after all it would be a great idea stopping by and have some relaxed conversation with friends.
I also loved that stone wall at the right with that light. It's modern!

I'm thinking you might even see a photographer in there sometimes. Just a guess, though.

Looks like a nice place to unwind Jacob. My priest would not be in a booth in the back, but right up there at the bar!

Looks too cowboyish to be in Florida! I don't think of Florida when I see cowboys. Hehhehehe

What a fun place. Makes you want to sit, relax and enjoy friends. Great western decor. Looks like they have a good selection of rot gut of every description.

Lowell said...

@ Bergson - No, I think it's V45, which is a brand showing to whom the horse belongs...

Thanks!

Looks like a nice place. Are the owners Texas fans?

Lowell said...

@ VP - Is that so you could avoid them? ;-)

Lowell said...

@ Lee - No smoking, Lee. Not even in Paris anymore!

The girl you see in all the riding pics is my grand-daughter and yes she is a cutie. she is also a real cowgirl--having chased cowes and rounding up the calves on the Ritzville Ranch. MB

This is my kind of place Jacob.

A glass of good bourbon..... the longhorn theme....... the bar style lights...... the only thing that may be finer might be an Irish pub...... but this...... I could spend some serious time here.

Love it.

and maybe even Jacob and Lois occasionally I guess?

But where are all the folks??? Did you tell them to hide or have you been the last to leave this cozy place? Never forget to turn off the lights then. (;

LOL. Looks like a nice place.

This looks like a great place and I love the name too. I wouldn't think of Florida hearing that name though;)

So the preachers don't want to be seen...

@ Katie - Not if they're Southern Baptists! :-)
