This could be any food court here. Except maybe for the hair color! ;)

I'd rather see one of your mom and pop restaurants. I want accents and regionalism. Re: The "State Theater". My dad's office was at 63rd and Halsted near State Sreet. The theater was beautiful but the neighborhood got to dangerous. There was a riot at the showing of "Blackboard Jungle"

Hey Froots!!!
The little one doesn't look too happy. Maybe it's the food. LOL MB

Looks like a nice place.

I guess this is unusual. I have never seen anyone with hair that red in my life. So it must be colored. She fits right in the decor.

Subway is slowly coming to France. Froots sounds cool, what is it? Do you think that lady is Irish? Accentuating the redness and adding that tattoo ;-)?

Beautiful shot!I need to confess that I like this kind of place but I always order a cappuccino and a chocolate pie, if it is possible ! LOL

oh my friend, I think I need to learn how to exercise with my friend Lois Anne! I'm her fan!

Does she work at NCIS? I like the name Froots.

This is a really interesting capture, Jacob...With the brilliant red under the red Froots sign and that white blonde under the pale subway sign.

The little girl is so cute! I just hope her hair doesn't turn out fire engine red when she's older ...

Nice red hair! Contrasts beautifully with her green tattoo.

I know about eating fresh at Subway, but never heard of Froots. Wow, that is a vibrant redhead of hair!

The first thing I noticed was the orange hair. LOL Then I saw the green tattoo. I guess this young woman craves attention, eh?

Actually, I like the hair color. Sometimes you see cherry which I like even more. Wonder how I'd look, um, no, let's don't go there. Women and children might be watching.

Nice shot (as usual).

Working around art and theatre students, I see hair like that every day and I'm still not used to it! I like the little girl's hair much better.

There is so much to love about this scene...Froots; awesome. Her hair; freakishly awesome. The clover tattoo; WTH? awesome. The little girl's indiffernce to her non-kid friendly lunch; absolutely awesome. I would summerize to say, Awesome capture, Jacob!

Nice slice of life vignette!

@ All - Froots is kinda of a mishmash - they offer a variety of wraps and various icy fruit drinks. I do know the machine that mixes the drinks is very loud!

Lowell said...

@ Don & Krise - Nope. They are "unknowns."

Lowell said...

@ Lee - Yes, it was a bit scary in the late 60s, too! But, on Saturday morning things were usually fairly calm. Still...do you remember the Black P. Stone Rangers?

I didn't know Raggedy Ann had a baby!

Yuck. Reminds me of trying to get edible food in an airport - at least in the U.S.

Her hair is the same color as that sign. Interesting.

Way too much food for a little kid. No wonder America has more obese people than any other country. I also wonder if this is the bored to death Nanny. But Jacob, wowser, did you realize that you caught a lady breast feeding in the background? Nigh unto pornographic. Oops, I take that back, it's just a bottle.

Lowell said...

@ Antjas - I don't think that was the nanny, 'cause daddy came back after a bit...at first I thought that lady was breastfeeding, too, but after a closer look...no...

No purveyor of porn am I, yet. ;-)
