Nicely done! I like the subtle colour for the roof.

Interesting treatment of an almost B&W photo, but with the colored roof -- creative. My eye goes to the pink, then right back to the horses.

Nice effect! Leaving the pink in the otherwise monochrome photo looks great! Those horses really know what was going on? Or may be they're used to modelling :-)

Now that is nice. Beautiful natural contrasts, well almost natural. Great b&w!

Great capture of beautiful horses

Is this the answer to "What's black and white and pink all over"?

You got them to pose for you. Did you come bearing gifts of food?

I am not much a horse fan but certainly a nice photo of odd-toed ungulates.

Can I have 'em huhuhuhuh---look they followed me home. Please please please!!!!!

Love the shot. and the color on the roof--how neat. I like it.

Nobody stopped by with a radiator--in fact NOBODY stopped by. MB

Nice almost B&W. My thoughts to all the beautiful colors lost in this photo...

Beautiful b/w. I'd like to ride this horse...pony?

I agree with the chicken. This is really creatively composed. Those horses don't seem exactly pleased to have their photo taken but what gorgeous animals.

They are sooo cute!I loved your artwork in this picture as you play with b&w and a slight feeling of colour!
You are my hero ! :)

That's a weird cutout!

Bonjour : j'ai beaucoup de difficultés à ouvrir vos photos. Pour moi elles sont trop lourdes. Pouvez-vous les réduire un peu ? Merci

Le contraste est étonnant entre le noir des chevaux et le rose du toît. Bien vu !

These guys look great in black and white!

OK, you win hands down. This matched pair is what makes Ocala so well known for its horse-stock. Great looking animals and the setting is so bucolic and painterly. The black and white DOES work so well with the scene. (I won't soon try again to compete with your horsey world.)

You take the ribbon!

I like what you did with this picture Jacob, especially the pink you chose for the roof. Those horses don't look too sure about it though!

Oh yes, that was a picture just begging to be taken. Nice.

Magnificent animals. Going monochrome is a cool idea. It gave them a great look.

I find myself continually being stunned at the number of horse farms there are around there. I know you always are reminding us about Ocala being the horse capital of the country...... but it still amazes me. Just seems like that would be a place like Texas or New Mexico. I am sincerely envious of the amazing resources for horses you have. I know I would have a different profession if I lived close that.

Beautiful animals and I love the b/w!

@ MB - I'm so sorry. Does that mean you're still stuck at home? I kinda thought you'd like these critters...in fact, there were several more in the area but they were not quite as handsome as these are...

Lowell said...

@ Don and Krise - No, we keep forgetting to bring food. Next time we go hunting horse pictures, we're bringing carrots and sugar cubes!

Sugar cubes? Diabetic horses? When I was small, there was a horse in a field opposite the hotel near Quimper where we vacationed. All the kids gave it sugar. It died of diabetes. Take carrots 'n apples!!!
Now to the photo! It's absolutely gorgeous. Are those Appaloosas? I love the patterns, the way they are huddled and your photo treatment.

What beautiful horses - Very beautiful!

Lowell said...

@ Ciel - Ok, no sugar cubes. I dunno what they are...brown and white in real life. Thanks for the compliments!

A poster perfect picture! Like how the effect comes out.
